• The Dot in Space / by Omer Toledano

Sometimes I feel like a dot in space

A failed experiment of some high-class race

And if one day I'll show my face

My time will end, as will this race

Sometimes I feel so much unsure

    Of all that is

    Is there a cure?

Do I really know what's out there now?

Can I say for a fact if it's real or not?

How can I know apart from seeing?

And if I'm seeing, am I believing?

    Or perhaps IT is deceiving

I remember a time when the world was less mad

I remember a time when things weren't so bad

Back then so it seemed that it was not mine

That to suffer a loss or a heartbreak was thine

You or the "other" were separate from me

At least so I thought, back then I was free

And as I got older it occurred in the mind

That what's yours is not only and it is also mine

The pain that you feel, we both share in our being

In this strange world of ours right from the beginning

The perpetual movement that never relents

It is yours, it is mine, ladies & gents

As long as I'm here from one point to the next

    Points in space

    Points in space

    Point to space, to infinity
